Tricep Dips With a Twist

Looking for a different way to perform your tricep dips?

Try doing dips on an exercise ball:

  • Place your feet firmly on the floor
  • Move your arms behind your back
  • Lean back towards the exercise ball (with your back to the ball)
  • Place the palms of your hands on the ball (near the ball's center)
  • Slowly dip down, then slowly rise up, repeat until you complete your set
  • Your triceps should be doing all the work
  • Constantly adjust your abs, back, and rest of your body to maintain balance during the exercise.

Beginners should place the ball against a wall, a bench, or have someone hold the ball during the exercise. Once you feel comfortable with the exercise, try doing this exercise in the middle of the room where there is nothing to support the ball.

This is a great exercise for your core, while working your triceps at the same time.
